Where Kids Learn to Think, Play, and Love the Game
At Porter’s Lake Soccer Association, we help kids grow into confident, creative players who understand the game—not just follow instructions. Our modern, supportive approach builds smart decision‑makers, great teammates, and a lifelong love of soccer.
Why Families Choose PLSA
We believe soccer should be joyful, challenging, and full of learning. Your child will experience:
- A positive, encouraging environment

- Coaches who guide rather than command
- Training that builds confidence and creativity
- A style of play that teaches kids to think for themselves
- A development pathway that supports every child
We’re here to help kids grow as players and as people.
What Makes Our Approach Unique
Our “relational” style of soccer teaches kids to play together, support each other, and understand the game deeply. It’s a style that feels natural, fun, and exciting for young athletes. Instead of rigid positions or memorized patterns, players learn to:
⚽️Move into space ⚽️Support the ball carrier ⚽️Combine with teammates ⚽️Make smart decisions under pressure

PLSA Unveils New Logo

Porters Lake Soccer Association has officially adopted a new logo for 2023!
Enormous thanks goes out to local designer, Wendy Tanner, of Whitman Signs in Mineville, for her work with the Board over the past few months to bring our vision to reality. We are thrilled with the update!
The new crest retains our traditional colours - sky blue, black, white - and pays homage to the strong, swift and loyal osprey - an awesome creature that controls the skies (and waters) of the nearby lakes and ocean! Visit any of our soccer fields, look up, and you will likely see an osprey while you are there! Ospreys return to the same area year after year - showing loyalty and pride of place!
Watch for opportunities to purchase new Club Apparel for Summer 2023!
U15 Girls Win Winter GOLD
PLSA U15 Girls Win Indoor Championship!
March 2023
Congratulations to the U15B Girls team on winning GOLD at the 2033/23 NSSL Indoor Championship.
Porters Lake defeated Halifax County 3-2 in the Championship match, which was full of action and excitement to the final buzzer. Porters Lake scored on the last play of the game, when Delaney MacKenzie sent a well-placed corner kick into the County net to tie the game at 2-2. Penalty kicks would decide the winner!
PLSA GoalKeeper Lily Keizer stood strong and calm between the posts, and deserves the nod for Player of the Match! Battling nerves and excitement at a packed BMO Soccer Center, Porters Lake players outshot County to take the lead 3-2!
Congratulations to head coach Maria Morefield and team manager Peggy Marsh for an excellent season!
